Running from Sunday May 8th to Friday May 13th 2016, the Tour of Crete will be concluded in 6 individual stages in consecutive days, covering a total distance of approximately 600 kilometres (370 miles) and total vertical gain of 12,200 metres (40,000 feet).

Starting and finishing point of the sportive is the city of Heraklion, the largest urban center in the island of Crete. Riders will visit numerous of Crete’s lively cities, charming towns and picturesque villages, ride along the coastline and climb and descent through the stunning Cretan mountains.
