To Patriko – A Timeless Cretan Home 🌿✨

Once the home of the village schoolteacher, To Patriko was built in 1914 with stone, wood, and handmade roof tiles — and it still carries the soul of that time. Recognized by the Greek Ministry of Culture as an exceptional example of traditional Cretan architecture, the house was lovingly restored in 2024 to preserve its original spirit, while gently adding comfort where it matters.

Tucked away at the edge of the peaceful village of Vori, this is not a modern villa — it’s a home with a story. Here, you’ll find quiet, privacy, and spaces filled with light, texture, and the simple beauty of old Crete.

Inside, there are three bedrooms, a cozy living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and two bathrooms — one upstairs (with a bathtub) and one outside on the ground floor, just like the old days. There’s also a charming garden shower with hot and cold water.

Step out into the courtyard with its grapevine-covered pergola, marble tables, stone benches, hammocks, and hidden corners for reading, chatting, or simply doing nothing at all. And at night? Climb up to the “terrace of the stars” — a favorite spot for watching the sky unfold in silence.

To Patriko is a home best suited for those who appreciate tradition, calm, and authenticity. It’s family-friendly and perfectly safe for children. We kindly ask guests to treat the home with the care it deserves — we do not host bachelor parties or large events. Pets are welcome upon request.
